Membership Benefits

If you're undecided about joining our High Desert Swing Dance Club, because you're not sure we're worth it, please take the time to consider the following benefits.

Since we are a non-profit organization, ALL of our membership fees and event incomes are used to benefit our dancers and our local community. And, when compared to other dance clubs across the country, we consistently charge members less for our workshops because we don't need to make a profit.

We offer an Annual March Membership Drive and Workshop package consisting of four beginner-level and four intermediate-level dance classes, one year HDSDC membership, and free entry into our next dance, usually the Saturday after the workshop - all for only $40.

Our members get reduced entry to our monthly dances ($8 vs. $15) and our workshops (typically $10 off).

We provide free snacks, coffee, cups, plates, utensils, etc. at our events.

We're constantly purchasing new music for our dances, and creating new playlists that often include music that our dancers request. Music is an important factor at any dance but, of course, we can't please everyone.

We own and maintain two, professional, wireless microphone systems, and two high quality sound systems, that we use at our lessons, dances and workshops.

We keep our dancers informed via email updates, website, facebook, and announcements and printed information at our dances.
